Kind by design

A feed of good news only works if it stays kind. Here's what Made My Day does to keep it that way, and what you can do too.

Checked before it goes up

New posts are checked by Google Cloud's text moderation before it's saved. If it breaks the Community Guidelines, it isn't published, and the app asks you to change it and try again.

New profile photos are checked by Google Cloud Vision before anyone can see them, and names that break the rules are replaced with "Someone".

Report anything, privately

Press and hold any post, or use the More menu on its page, to report the post or the person's profile photo.

Pick a reason, add details if you like, and send. The person won't know who reported them, and every report is reviewed.

Five clear reasons

Spam or scam, offensive or hateful language, harassment or bullying, sexual or explicit content, or something else. You can report each post or photo once.

Block quietly

Block someone from the same menu and you won't see their posts or photo anymore. They won't be told.

Changed your mind? Unblock them in Settings, under Blocked People.

Leave any time

Delete your account from My Profile and it's gone for good: your account, your MMDs, your votes and your favourites.

Read what we keep and why in the Privacy Policy.

The rules everyone agrees to

No swearing, hate, harassment, sexual content or violence, in posts, names or photos.
